Nathan Beaumont is a recent High School graduate from a rural community in southeast Hillsborough County called Fort Lonesome, Florida. 18-year-old Nathan is a sixth-generation Floridian and a 4th generation musician. He wrote his first song 'Fort Lonesome' when he was just 14 years old, and started recording his first album when he was 17 years old.
Nathan has played for years with his dad and uncles as part of the Beaumont Family Band. He has also been a member of a band of young people called Duck Wallow Lane, which features the lovely and talented Morgan Brake (songwriter, singer, and future bluegrass star). Nathan has also played many times with his friend Wyatt Ellis including 2 youth bluegrass events in 2022 and 2023 at the Caverns in Tennessee, as well as the 2022 Cave Fest. In 2023, as part of Wyatt Ellis and Friends he performed at the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival in Maine alongside up-and-coming teenage bluegrass stars Gibson Davis, lan Lane, and Sammy Mougin. He is also a (2021-2023) IBMA, Kids on Bluegrass alumni.
Currently, Nathan is a touring member of the hard driving fantastic young Bluegrass/Americana band Remedy Tree. Remedy Tree was featured in the 2023 IBMA Ramble and the band was invited to performed at the 2024 Westport Bluegrass Festival in Westport Ireland. Remedy Tree features original music written by bandleader, Gabriel Acevedo. Nathan primarily plays banjo and guitar with Remedy Tree but will fill in on mandolin when bandmate Bryce Griffin is unavailable. Banjo wizard Isaac Taylor fills in with the band when Nathan is not playing banjo.
On Nathan's current CD Project which includes currently released singles 'The Way That I Came In' and 'Hobo's Lament', he sings all the parts as well as plays all the instruments. Banjo, Guitar, Fiddle, Bass, Mandolin and Dobro.
The completed cd named after his hometown and the song he first wrote, 'Fort Lonesome' is scheduled for online release in September 2024.
